CORTIJO LA JUANITA - REBIRTH RETREAT

There are places that hold a story, an energy, and a special way of experiencing life. This cortijo is one of them.

It all began with Ingeborg van Leeuwen, lovingly known as Juanita, who acquired this house and, with great love, dedication, and sensitivity, created a warm Andalusian-style house, taking care of every detail and leaving a little piece of herself in every corner.

By one of those beautiful coincidences in life, the finca is located in the Juanita area, as if the place itself had been destined to carry her name and preserve her essence.

Juanita passed this legacy on to her children, two brothers who, inspired by the love, passion, and energy she poured into this place, decided to continue her journey and keep her spirit alive.

From this vision was born the idea of creating a retreat of rebirth: a space where we can pause, breathe, let go of what we no longer need, and reconnect with ourselves.

Through yoga, meditation, massages, and other wellness experiences, we want to offer a place of calm, connection, and transformation. A space surrounded by breathtaking nature, where the landscape, silence, and tranquillity remind us of something simple yet deeply important: sometimes, we simply need to pause in order to feel again.

This cortijo is Juanita’s legacy.
A place created with love, which we now want to continue filling with life, experiences, and new beginnings.

Because everyone arrives with their own story, and perhaps this place can also become the beginning of theirs.

A place to pause. To let go. To breathe. And, above all, to be reborn.

Location & Surroundings

Cortijo La Juanita is located in a privileged setting in the heart of the Sierra de las Nieves, surrounded by nature, tranquillity, and landscapes that invite you to slow down, disconnect, and simply enjoy the moment.

To move around freely and discover everything the area has to offer, we recommend arriving with your own car or a rental car.

Just 3.5 kilometres away is Alozaina, a charming local village where you will find supermarkets, restaurants, bars, pharmacies, and all the essential services you may need during your stay.

A place away from the noise, yet close enough to enjoy the comfort and authenticity of local life.

It is also in a very central location for visits to the Sierra de las Nieves National Park, which is just behind it, or to the coast (Marbella / Malaga) or to go up to the magnificent lakes (Ardales) or to visit the "Caminito del Rey" (El Chorro).
